The Athletics Carnival
The athletics carnival is a compulsory event that happens once every year at Campbelltown Sports Ground for everyone at Mount Annan Christian College. The athletics carnival is when four teams (Hawkesbury, Nattai, Macquarie and Nepean) compete in many events such as 100m Sprint, Javelin, Shot-put, High Jump and Discus. The athletics carnival consisted of students from year 3 all the way up to year 12.
For us in year 7, many events got harder such as Javelin because we had to compete use longer and heavier javelins. The shot put balls were heavier and discus’ were bigger. None of this stopped us doing our best though.
This year, 7J had a great time at the Athletics carnival and didn’t give up but I think that we could always do better next year. Don’t give up 7J!
