What have we been up to so far in Term 2?

PDHPE...

As well and College and Rec Sport we have been mastering shotput, javelin and discuss this term during PDHPE lessons. It is amazing to see how strong some of the girls are. Don't underestimate those little frames because they have proven that dynamite comes in small packages! In a few weeks time, year 7 will be assessed on their skills in these field events.





History...

We have started studying ANCIENT CHINA and are learning all about the ancient beliefs and traditions which are proving to be very strange but interesting. Next week Zachary will be writing a blog about how the Chinese believed the earth came into being and how the wealthy lived in Ancient China. Looking forward to reading it!






English/Naplan...

As well as learning about visual techniques and studying The Red Tree by Shaun Tan (As per previous blog by Kavita), year 7 have been busy with Naplan Preparation over the past 2 weeks in English. Naplan testing will take place in lessons 1-3 on Tuesday the 15th to Thursday the 17th May. All the best for next weeks tests, do your best and we'll be proud of you!

Christian Discovery...

For their second assessment task, year 7 are creating newspapers including articles on the miracles of Jesus. They will be writing out some of the Good News as recorded in the Gospel of Mark. I look forward to marking this creative task.
